AJSU activist killed by Maoists

An All Jharkhand Students Union activist was gunned down by CPI-M at Jorugutu-Raidih in Jharkhand's Saraikela-Kharswan district, police said today.

An All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) activist was gunned down by CPI(Maoist) at Jorugutu-Raidih in Jharkhand's Saraikela-Kharswan district, police said on Saturday.

A group of about six armed Maoists shot the activist after he had returned from a party rally at Gamariah on Friday, sub-divisional police officer, Chandil, Madan Mohan Lal said.

The Maoists believed that the activists was working as a police informer.

Lal, who is leading a combing team at Raidih Jungle, said a massive search operation has been launched in the dense forest to track down the culprits.
