A terrorist from the Al Badr terrorist group was killed by security forces, who found him hiding in a house in a Jammu and Kashmir village soon after he was caught in a compromising position with a young woman who was shot dead by her brother.
The remarkable tale of love and betrayal took place in Rajouri district late on Thursday when the young woman's brother found her with Ishtiyaq, police in Jammu said.
The woman, identified only as Gulshan, was killed by her brother, but Ishtiyaq managed to escape to an adjacent house. When they heard about the incident, army troops cordoned off the house and killed him.
Al-Badr is one of the groups pressuring people to adopt the Islamic way of life, where sex outside marriage is an unpardonable crime. This is the first such incident of its kind and has created a flutter in the entire area.
