Raising the style quotient in the Capital on Tuesday was the announcement of the 2006 Lycra MTV Style awards. In its fourth year now, the famed fashion awards sees a heady mix of style and Bollywood.

Not making any exceptions was the announcement function in Delhi that saw the presence of actors Arjun Rampal and Anousha Dhandekar (also an MTV VJ) along with noted fashion designers Rahul Gandhi and Rohit Khanna, Ritu Kumar and JJ Vallaya.

Add-ons in this year's event is the new section on the Most Stylish Host and Most stylish Actor on television, in both male and female categories. "Style is all about being comfortable," said Arjun Rampal.

"It's not how long you take to get dressed for an occasion but how you carry the simplest outfits at every occasion." Agrees Anousha Dhadekar, "When you add a bit of yourself to an outfit, that's being stylish," she says.

"Less is more," she laughs. "Not in the wrong sense though," she explains. "Whether it is accessories or make-up, it's best to keep it minimal. If you are wearing jewellery, don't overdo it by using ten pieces all over you. Instead use just one or two pieces and flaunt it right."

The panel of jury for the event includes Arjun Rampal, Manish Malhotra, Malaika Arora Khan, Feroze Gujral, Nafisa Ali, Noyonika Chatterjee, Rina Dhaka, Koel Puri, Anamika Khanna and DJ Suketu among many others. The Lycra MTV Style awards will be held in Mumbai on October 14.
