With reference to AG Noorani’s article American way of life (July 17), US Secretary of States Condoleezza Rice’s remarks about the non-aligned movement are not healthy. NAM was a movement for peaceful coexistence and despite losing its political relevance, it remains a powerful instrument in the pursuit of economic justice. As long as the world remains divided between north and south on the basis of prosperity and poverty, the need for seeking economic justice remains valid.
