Amalpuram MP urges Reliance to develop Gadimugga village

Amalapuram MP G Harsh Kumar urged the Reliance officials to provide all facilities to Gaddimugga village, under Social Responsibility agreement which was signed by the company in 2007.

The Reliance, constructing Gas Terminal in the village, in view of this agreement of social responsibility signed by it in August 28, 2007, agreed to provide all facilities to the Gaddimugga villagers.

Harsh Kumar on Thursday reviewed the progress of works taken by the Reliance officials under the Social Responsibility agreement in Rajahmundry, and enquired about the delay in construction of 30-bed hospital.

Kumar said the land case pending in the court was delaying the construction. The construction of hospital and Kalyanmandapam will be completed by 2010, he said.

He said Rs 50 lakh will be sanctioned for drinking water pipelines in the village and requested the RWS authorities to submit an estimate by June 22.

He said if problem arises in supplying piped water, it will be supplied through tankers to villagers.

Reliance has provided funds for Construction of Residential Bridge school, renovation of temple, roads and drainage system, construction of houses and bridge on Mandad Canal, he said adding that supplying of gas at cheaper rate is also under consideration.
