Anand Vihar holds scintillating function

ANAND VIHAR School celebrated its annual day in Ravindra Bhavan on Friday in grand manner. In his inaugural speech, chief guest MiC member Kailash Mishra appreciated the management and the staff for organising the programme at such a scale that reflected that lots of efforts had been put in.

ANAND VIHAR School celebrated its annual day in Ravindra Bhavan on Friday in grand manner. In his inaugural speech, chief guest MiC member Kailash Mishra appreciated the management and the staff for organising the programme at such a scale that reflected that lots of efforts had been put in.

The secretary of the school management committee read out the annual report giving details of the activities, achievements and aspirations of the school. S K Bagchi, retired IAS officer, was the guest of honour. He garlanded a portrait of Goddess Saraswati and lighted the ceremonial lamp.

The programme started with a soulful presentation of Saraswati Vandana, which was followed by the welcome song invoking the message of love and peace. The students presented a dance drama. Other highlights were the puppet show and Hindi play ‘Ashok ka Hridya Parivartan’.

Teacher and students set the stage on fire with delightful and captivating presentations. The English play “Bishops’ Candle” clearly depicted what poverty can do a person, how honesty and truthfulness could save him. Several other programme like western dance, instrumental and classical music were appreciated by one and all.

Vice-principal Ms Shaily Chaturvedi proposed the vote of thanks and the programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem.
