Another Hollywood feat for AR Rahman
The current Hollywood hit Inside Man, directed by Spike Lee and starring Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster and Clive Owen, has plenty of desi connections.
Lee’s new movie opens and closes with Dil Se’s hit song Chhaiya Chhaiya. The soundtrack has been composed by Grammy winner Terence Blanchard. On the album, the track has been titled Bollywood Joint, with credit to AR Rahman, Gulzar, Punjabi MC, Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi.
Inside Man also features three Indian actors namely Ahluwalia Waris, Reena Shah and Jay Charan and is the story of a tough cop (Washington) who takes on a clever bank robber (Owen).
Incidentally, the stage show of Lord of the Rings with music composed by Rahman has just opened in Toronto, Canada.
