Addressing the activist, BJYM district president Srikrishna Dixit accused Singh of showing disrespect to the Hindu religion. He lambasted the HRD Minister and the Congress-led government for campaigning against Hindu religion in the disguise of secularism.

Dixit accused the Union Minister of working on an anti-Hindu agenda to appease a particular community. BJYM announced that it would not let Arjun Singh enter the city.

BJYM district secretary Shambhu Nath Mishra flayed the UPA Government for intentionally hurting the sentiments of Hindus. He said that disrespect to Gods was not possible without government connivance.
