On the songs of Aa jaane jaan, and Aap jaisa koi, 20 male models scorched the ramp for Arjun Khanna’s show at the India Fashion Week on Sunday.

The models scorched the runways in an extremely casual and comfortable note. When model Muzamil invited Feroz on the ramp for a dance, the audience was left completely charmed.

Hot model Upen Patel started the show wearing a sherwani in gold and ivory.

Next on ramp were a dozen of models walking one after another wearing the Mumbai-based designer’s creations.

Celebrating the opulent and luxurious lifestyle of the Indian Maharajah. Inspired by their decadent and lavish lifestyle, the collection saw bold and eccentric designs.

One could also see the textiles with rich embroidery on the ensembles.

All the creations that looked contemporary yet timeless made the models look sexy, masculine.

Silhouettes were truly Indian with embroidered quilted sherwanis with sleeveless waistcoats, knee length achkans, churidar pants and washed out jeans worn over knee boots. Pinstripe suits and jackets in linen and Banarsi silk formed part of the line too.

Arjun used an exquisite range of colours like a crème sherwani with turquoise embroidery and gold ornamentation stood out the most. Some separates was embellished with muqaish and jewel work making it look heavenly.

The fabrics were silks, georgettes, velvet, linen, etc. And vibrant hues like purple, orange, rust; pink and turquoise were balanced well with subtle shades like crème, beige and brown.

Arjun’s glam and success ingredients were in place and with Bollywood songs doing the rounds the show completely bowled the audience over! As far as the line’s concerned: Very royal, grand and exotic can well sum up Arjun’s collection 2006.
