"In the name of operations against Maoists, arms are being given to CPI-M cadre in 'Jangalmahal' (Maoist-hit districts of West Midnapore, Purulia and Bankura) at the behest of the chief minister. The CPI-M is running camps there," Banerjee told reporters here.
Stating that her party was repeatedly appealing for restoring peace in the state, she said, "Even Union Home Minister P Chidambaram in a letter to me stated that it is the responsibility of the state government to restore peace."
Banerjee said that if the Left Front government had discharged its responsibilities, there would have been less of terror attacks.
She said her party will hold protests against the Left rule in the state after the Higher Secondary Examinations were over.
