"After the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Manohan Singh and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to Kashmir, the Kashmiris are being subjected to continuous revengeful attacks by the Indian troops," said the Mirwaiz during a meeting of the executive members of his faction of the Hurriyat.
The Hurriyat members in a statement said, "If such pattern of revengeful activities against Kashmiris continues to happen, there can be lethal fallouts as it can lead to complicated situations."
The Hurriyat members, while referring to the killing of two youth on Sunday in army firing in Bandipora, said, "The two innocent youth were not connected with any armed activity. Both of them were civilians and were killed following a well hatched conspiracy."
"Whenever such inhuman activities happen in Kashmir, both the Indian leadership and the civil society attain criminal silence as if nothing has happened," alleged the Hurriyat spokesman.
