A spokesperson said the bureau had received a complaint from Inder Lal that Rajpal had visited his dhaba in Kalanaur town of the district for routine checking and threatened him to give Rs 30,000 otherwise he would register a fake case of power theft against him.

A raiding team was constituted after registering an FIR against the accused under Section 7 (Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Rohtak police station on Friday. Further investigations into the case were on, the spokesperson added.
