Allahabad University conducted the admission test of 20776 students appearing out of a total of 22822 registered for the test against 2390 seats of BA in the varsity. UGAT-06 director Prof AP Sinha said that 91 per cent attendance was recorded during the admission test and no untoward incident was reported from any of the examination centres.

Prof Sinha said that appropriate security arrangements were made to check any disturbance during the test and the police administration lent their full support during the examination. The VC along with Proctor Prof Jatashankar Tripathi met the observers at and inspected the centres including Boys High School, Bishop Johnson and Mary Lucas.
Prof Tripathi said that the admission test was conducted under security and in a disciplined manner and appreciated the support given by CO Colonelganj Rahul Srivastava.
Prof Sinha said that UGAT will be conducted in two shifts on Friday for 680 seats of B Sc and 375 seats of B Com.
He said that 18545 students have been registered for B Sc while 5733 students for the B Com admission test to be conducted at 30 centres across the city.
The B Sc test will be held from 9 am to 11 am while B Com test will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm, added Prof Sinha.
