Average Lankan Tamil matters

It?s true that LTTE betrayed India and from then on India is keeping away from LTTE. What is unacceptable is, how can India ignore and be indifferent to the persecution of Tamil people in the Tamil areas of Sri Lanka. People who are ethnically so close to India are subject to harassment and deprived as human rights. They are subjected to aerial bombing, yet India and the whole world is looking away with indifferent. It is therefore natural for the Tamil people to seek self-determination and fight for their rights.

People who are ethnically so close to India are subject to harassment and deprived as human rights. They are subjected to aerial bombing, yet India and the whole world is looking away and indifferent to the massacre of the Tamil community.

It is therefore natural for the Tamil people to seek self-determination and fight for the right to live as a respectable citizen taken away by the majority Sri Lankan hardline government.

Its hogwash that the ministers continuously rant that they are for a negotiated peaceful settlement. For example the recent all party conference appointed a sub committee to bring about a lasting settlement amongst all sections of the country, comprises entirely of the Sinhalese community with one person from the Muslim community. How then can you find an acceptable peaceful solution if the minority community is not represented and completely left out?

Is it not then reasonable that the Tamils seek the right for self-determination? The government is trying to make a fool of all donors including India.

I reiterate it’s a pathetic plight for the Tamil community of Sri Lanka.
