"He travels in a cavalcade consisting of a large number of vehicles everyday while seeking votes thus violating model code of conduct openly," Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Upender Sharma said here in a statement.

He said Badal recently campaigned in a vehicle bearing Haryana registration number with a red beacon atop to canvass for Charanjit Singh Atwal in Phillaur Lok Sabha constituency.

"It is a daily routine for Badal to break the law and the authorities concerned have not bothered to perform their constitutional duty to check violation of rules by Badal", he added.
