Bani park assembly constituency in Jaipur district is represented by Udai Singh Rathore of Congress who claims to have undertook several development projects in the region.

What I did:

Udai Singh Rathore, Congress

• Around 25 flyovers and over-bridges constructed

• 35 water-tanks built, would soon have supply from Bisalpur Dam

• Seven private colleges for girls opened in the area

• 5 km of high tension lines removed

• Sewage lines laid throughout the constituency

Electorate size:  3,68,861   Caste break up:   Brahmins: 19%   Mahajan & Jain: 15%   Rajputs: 11%   Muslims: 10%   SC: 8%   Others: 8%   Sindhi: 7%   ST: 6%   Mali: 6%   Jats: 5 %

What he did not do:

Rajpal Singh Shekhawat, BJP

Lost by 17,045 votes in 1998

• Majority of these works are part of the Urban Infrastructure Development Programme incorporated in 9th Five Year Plan by me as FM in BJP government.

• No new project has been conceived during the last 5 years.

• He has embezzled Rs 186 crores extorted from people in the name of registration of lands and removing encroachment without providing rehabilitation.
