The golden pillars, the acres of fading curtains and a ghazal singer in the evenings – Baradari, clearly, is a relic from the past in a hotel that seems to have been transplanted from the late Soviet Union. The menu is mainly North Indian – Paneer Tikka, Barra Gosht, Murgh Korma and the like – with some standard Continental offerings – Fish 'N' Chips, Chicken Sizzlers and Spaghetti Bolognaise – thrown in. It's the kind of place you'd go for a secret liaison.
