This American chain of ice-cream parlours, which was born in 1945 at Glendale, California, offers 31 flavours (one for each day of the month) that are expensive(Rs 33-37 for a single scoop; Rs 60-65 for a double), which explains their limited appeal, but great to eat. The fruity flavours are our favourites – orange, banana, strawberry, black currant, pineapple and papaya. The chain also dishes out ice-cream desserts. The good news for chocoholics is that there are eight varieties to choose from.
