Betting racket busted

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Faridabad police busted a betting racket on Wednesday night during the cricket match between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Faridabad police busted a betting racket on Wednesday night during the cricket match between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

The sleuths raided a house in New Industrial Township (NIT) at 9 pm after receiving a tip-off and arrested eight men, including the owner of the house. The police also recovered one LCD television set, seven mobile phones and R12,800 cash.

The arrested were identified as Arvind alias Gulu, the house owner, Jitender Kumar, Hitesh, Rakesh Dubey, Saurabh, Ravi Gupta, Summit Kumar and Manni.
