BHU PMT on May 10

THE PRE-MEDICAL Test (PMT) for admission at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) in Banaras Hindu University is scheduled to be conducted at four centres across the country on May 10.

As per information, more than 39,000 candidates would appear for this prestigious examination at Varanasi, Kolkata, Delhi and Hyderabad centres. There are 55 seats of MBBS in IMS-BHU.

Out of total 39,183 aspirants, there are 17,309 female candidates whereas remaining 21,874 are male candidates. Apart from this a total of 595 applications forms have been cancelled due to one reason or another. As many as 20,227 medical aspirants would appear in the examination at the Delhi centre whereas there are 13,049 aspirants at the Varanasi centre.

A total of 3,378 candidates will appear for the PMT examination at the Kolkata centre whereas there are 2,530 candidates at the Hyderabad centre. The number of total applicants has increased to around 3,000 this year. Around 36,000 candidates had appeared in the PMT exam last year.

Room supervisors and candidates would not be allowed to carry their mobile phones. Authorities of BHU would ensure shuttle service from BHU main gate to the exam centre.
