Addressing a press conference after the Rashtriya Suraksha Sankalp Yatra, Joshi said, “The BJP will support the Central Government on this issue in view of the prevailing the law and order situation and State Government’s partisan role in conducting the civic election.”

Replying to a question on BJP’s demand for President’s rule in the State, Joshi said his party would support Centre on the issue. “If the Central Government imposes President’s rule, we will support it,” he said.

Expressing concern over the growing terrorism in the country, Joshi said all political parties should sink differences so that terrorism could be wiped out.

Commenting on the State Government bestowing Yash Bharati award upon the junior Bachhan, Joshi said the award was set up to honour those who had achieved success for their outstanding performance in a particular field.

However, Abhishek Bachhan finding a place among the award-winners lowered prestige of this award.

He said Mulayam Singh’s decision to call a special session of the State assembly had no sense.
