BJP demands all party meet to discuss steps to check swine flu

Expressing concern over sudden rise of swine flu deaths in the state, BJP Andhra Pradesh unit on Tuesday urged Andhra Pradesh government to convene an all-party meeting immediately to discuss about the measures to control and check further spread of the disease.

Expressing concern over sudden rise of swine flu deaths in the state, BJP Andhra Pradesh unit on Tuesday urged Andhra Pradesh government to convene an all-party meeting immediately to discuss about the measures to control and check further spread of the disease.

Till Monday 12 swine flu deaths, most of them in Hyderabad, were reported in the state. The sudden raise in H1N1 virus cases has created a panic among the public and the government failed to take effective steps to control the deadely disease, BJP state unit general secretary K Laxman and party’s spokesperson N Ramachander Rao told presspersons in Hyderabad.

“It was sheer neglignece of the Health Department which failed to take effective steps in controlling the disease”, the BJP leader said.

They urged the government to take measures on war footing way to control and create awareness among the public about the symptons of the disease.
