"The EC has been apprised of the chances of rigging in tomorrow's polling and a request has been made to take necessary steps to check it," Union Agriculture Minister Rajnath Singh and senior party leader Kalraj Mishra told reporters here.
Besides, the party cadres have also been directed to remain vigilant and get the election process videographed so that the party could present the evidence of rigging, if the need arises, the BJP leaders said.
The exit poll results of the last phase had unnerved the ruling Samajwadi Party and it could "stoop to any level" to tilt the balance in its favour, they alleged.
Singh requested the EC to countermand the elections in Ghazipur alleging it was rigged by SP workers and asked a team to be sent there to investigate the matter.
