The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday established early lead in the two Chhattisgarh assembly constituencies of Khairagarh and Malkharoda.

BJP was leading by about 1,200 votes after second round of counting at Khairagarh, which was won by the Congress in last assembly polls held in 2003. The party was also leading by over 1,000 votes in Malkharoda, which was won by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in 2003.
