The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working on a "contingency plan" in case the special court hearing the Ayodhya case delivers an "adverse verdict" on the framing of charges against Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani and other top leaders of the party.

The verdict is expected on Friday.
Senior party leaders have been discussing the case and the various possible decisions the court can take, party sources said.
The issue also figured in the meeting between Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and BJP leaders on Saturday, which was attended by party president Venkaiah Naidu besides Advani himself.
However, no leader is prepared to comment on the subject.
Besides Advani, the case involves some of the most senior leaders of the Sangh parivar, including Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, BJP leaders Uma Bharti, Sadhvi Rithambara and Vinay Katiyar, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad's Ashok Singhal, Vishnu Hari Dalmiya and and Giriraj Kishore.
