The dawn to dusk bandh in Darbhanga called by BJP began on Wednesday morning to protest against Monday's firing on relief seekers in which two persons were killed and several others injured at Ujjaun village in the district.

Shops and major business establishments besides some schools remained closed in the town due to the bandh.
Train services remained disrupted for the third consecutive day on Wednesday between Darbhanga and Jhanjharpur stations under the East Central Railway as the relief seekers continued dharna on track near Lohana Road station in the district.
Security measures have been tightened to maintain law and order during the bandh.
BJP had described Monday's firing as 'unprovoked' and called for institution of murder case against the policemen involved in the incident.
