BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said that his party will not support the government on the Indo-US civil nuclear deal in its present format and wants the deal renegotiated.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Venkaiah Naidu said on Friday that his party will not support the government on the Indo-US civil nuclear deal in its present format and wants the deal renegotiated.
Accusing the Manmohan Singh-led United Progressive Alliance government of not consulting any political party, "even its allies like the Left parties, the DMK and the RJD, nor the opposition party, the BJP", Naidu said the BJP wants the deal "renegotiated".

"The BJP will not cooperate unless the deal is renegotiated," Naidu insisted.
"If Dr Singh thinks that BJP will bail him out, he is thoroughly mistaken. It will support only a renegotiated deal, which alone can safeguard India's interests," Naidu said.
