BMC officers seize Rs 2 lakh material
ACTING ON complaints of Mayor-in-Council (MiC) members, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials today raided a building housing building permission section and seized material belonging to Water Works Department worth Rs two lakh.
ACTING ON complaints of Mayor-in-Council (MiC) members, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials today raided a building housing building permission section and seized material belonging to Water Works Department worth Rs two lakh.
According to information, the MiC members had made a complaint in this regard to the BMC Commissioner, who ordered the officials to raid the office.
MiC member and in-charge of Water Works Department Amir Aqueel said about 70 per cent of the material found in this office could be used. He said this material should have been in the stores of Water Works Department.
But, some employees illegally kept the material in the building permission office. Deputy Commissioner GP Mali, Revenue Officer Pradeep Verma and MiC members were present during the action.
