The manager of a pub at a mall on Gurgaon's MG Road has been arrested after five bouncers allegedly assaulted a group of 17 students of a private engineering college on Saturday, The group included six girls.

They allegedly assaulted the students with baseball bats and cricket wickets. The injured were rushed to a private hospital. Seven students received injuries, including fractures and stitches. A case of attempt to murder and assault was registered at the DLF City Phase 2 police station on Sunday. The bouncers are on the run.
Ankit Lohchab (21) — a recent graduate of Manav Rachna Engineering College — was celebrating his birthday at Zygo Club in MGF Mall. "My friends were rubbing cake on my face and some of it fell on the floor. One of the bouncers hit me on the head for dirtying the place," said Ankit. "We heard the manager tell the bouncers to hit us," alleged his cousin Shakti.
An eyewitness, Rahul Kumar, told the police that the students did not misbehave with anyone. Refuting the allegations, pub manager Mahaveer Singh said, "The boys were misbehaving with girls and abused my staff."
Inspector Jagdish Prasad, SHO, DLF City Phase-2, said, "We're conducting raids to nab the bouncers."
