The exam was scrapped after a countrywide racket in leaking CAT question papers was busted on Sunday.
A senior faculty member of IIM Calcutta said it was difficult, if not impossible, to hold the exams before late-January/early-February.
Meanwhile, more arrests were made on Monday, following the arrest of four men on Sunday. The Delhi Police arrested four touts in Mahipalpur. Two people were arrested in Pune.
The CBI raided the house of Ranjit Singh, the Mumbai-based businessman who is believed to have masterminded the racket. Diaries and bank account numbers were unearthed. A CBI source said initial investigations indicated that over Rs 100 crore could be involved in the racket.
