The glitzy ceremony was organised by the PHD Chamber, Indian Culinary Forum along with Indian Federation of Culinary Associations and HT City.

Besides handing out awards across 14 categories, the event also saw the chefs taking a stylish turn on the runway. There was a fashion show featuring 13 chefs, sporting eclectically designed aprons and jackets by young designers such as Anand Bhushan, Jenjum Gadi, Nikhita Tandon and Joy Mitra among many others.

The night’s big award went to chef Vikram Khatri of ai — he walked away with the Chef of The Year award, while chef Sabyasachi Gorai of Olive applauded him with much gusto.

Also felicitated was fabled chef Hemant Oberoi of the Taj Group with the lifetime achievement award. There was also some interesting entertainment, with a slew of dancers, who kept the party going all evening. All the proceeds from this gala night will be going to numerous charities.
