Dindori Collector Ramesh Kumar has replaced Pal and Neemuch SP Rajesh Gupta replaced Rathore. Pal has been shifted to the Mantralaya as deputy secretary and Rathore sent to the PHQ.

Sources said RSS functionaries were putting pressure on the State Government to change the Collector and the SP. The collector was allegedly involved in collection of donation for yagna.

The issue figured at a BJP Legislature Party meeting. It was alleged that BJP MLA Babulal Mahajan collected about Rs 5 crore with the help of the Collector.

Pal, who was in Khargone for three years, had also hit headlines last year following sexual harassment allegations levelled against him by the principal of a Central School.

Bhopal Development Authority Chief Executive Officer K P Rahi has been posted as new collector of Dindori. Rahi is the first officer among the eight, inducted into IAS in April, to get a district.

With Rahi’s posting, other officers like G Kabirpanthi, Urmila Mishra, Mahendra Gyani, SS Bansal, Geeta Mishra, Rajesh Mishra and Pushplata Singh may get field postings.
