“Such statements by Pakistan’s Foreign office is an obstacle to good relations between the two countries. We condemn the statement,” spokesman Shakeel Ahmed said on Monday.

Krishna, he said, was explaining not only the government’s position but also the sentiments of the country. “We expect restraint. We hope in future the Pakistan government will ask its officials to restrain themselves from making such loose statements,” Ahmed added.
