It also opposed a resolution tabled in the House by Food Minister Punnu Lal Mohle which demanded that the Centre should make 61,000 metric tonnes of rice and 32,000 metric tonnes of wheat available per month for distribution of foodgrains to APL ration card holders according to their eligibility.

Mohle said in 2006-07 fiscal, the state was getting 61,000 tonnes of APL rice and 26,145 tonnes of wheat per month, which have now come down to 10,360 tonnes and 15,000 tonnes, respectively. This is not enough as per the state's requirement, he said.
