Alleging that Sinha became a victim of the internal bickering in the BJP evident from denial of a berth in the Nitish Kumar ministry though he had successfully contested the assembly elections from Patna (West) constituency for four times in a row, state Congress chief spokesman Premchandra Mishra said that he met Bihar Governor R S Gavai seeking a CBI probe into his death.

Mishra claimed that the Governor assured him that the latter would speak to the former BJP MLA's widow and son Nitin Navin, MLA and take necessary action.

Sinha died in New Delhi because of massive heart attack early last year, BJP sources said.

Annoyed over denial of berths in the recent expansion of the Nitish Kumar cabinet, some state BJP rebels had raised the issue of Sinha's death alleging that the latter died because of internal bickerings in the party.
