Later, at a press statement Yadav said that lifting of ban on State Government employees’ participating in RSS activities is being opposed by the Congress because it believed that RSS was not a cultural or social outfit.
It rather has communal agenda and has been involved in political activities. The Congress leaders and workers marched towards the Chief Minister’s residence in a rally and handed over a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the sub divisional magistrate (SDM) at Polytechnic Square.
The memorandum urged the Governor to direct rescinding the government order in order to ensure employees’ impartial functioning and fair conduct.
Prominent among those who participated in the dharna included Harvansh Singh, Manak Agrawal, J P Dhanopiya, Mahipal Singh, Jaheer Ahmed, P C Sharma, Nasir Islam, Rajkumar Patel, Vibha Patel, Avaneesh Bhargava, Mandavi Chauhan, Salauddin and Moin Uddin Siddiqui.
