Container bombs, detonators seized in Bihar

Five container bombs and as many detonators were seized during a joint operation by the Special Task Force of Bihar police and CRPF personnel in Thari forest.

Five container bombs and as many detonators were seized during a joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar police and CRPF personnel in Thari forest of the naxal-hit Jamui district, police said on Saturday.

Few metres of fuse wire, mostly used for laying landmines was also recovered from the spot on Friday.

The weight of the seized container bombs was found to be of around 75 kg, sources said.

A combing operation has been launched in the area to apprehend the Naxalites.
