The police are investigating the people with whom Dolas was in touch with, a woman and with whom he could have had a financial dispute.

No arrests have been made so far.

Dolas was shot dead on Monday at around 10.15 am at the estate agent’s office — Bhoomi Enterprises, in Sector 17 of Vashi.

There are no witnesses.

The police have discounted a theory that the killer may have come for the estate agent, Somnath Landge. “That does not seem to be the case as of now,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Dudhe.

A woman was called in for inquiry on Tuesday based on the call details in Dolas’ cell phone. The police are looking at the possibility of an affair gone wrong.

“We are working on a few angles which include a woman and money. So far the woman angle has not yielded much,” Dudhe said adding that it could be a case of personal enmity that led to the killing.

“Our investigations are on and the picture should be clear very soon,” Dudhe said.
