More than 48 hours have passed since an MNC manager was assaulted on the DND Flyway, but the police have still not been able to ascertain the identity of the attackers.
According to DND Flyway authorities, they have already provided CCTV footage to the police for investigation.
"The incident took place at 7:10pm on Wednesday. In the footage, a Santro and Fortuner car can be seen at toll booth no 21. Both the cars were heading towards Delhi. We have given the CCTV footage to the police for further investigation," said Anwar Abassi, spokesperson, DND Flyway.
Blaming the flyway authorities for lack of security measures at the toll plaza, the victim, Kaushal Sheoran, said if the authorities had responded immediately, then the scuffle could have been avoided.
"The DND authorities failed to provide adequate security measures. We will move court against DND Flyway if culprits are not arrested. It is failure on the part of DND authorities," Sheoran said.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening when Kaushal was coming to Delhi along with his wife and three-year-old son in a Maruti Swift car. As he stopped at the toll booth to make the payment, a man came and started abusing him for being slow and keeping him waiting in the queue.
The victim said that as he did not get any help from the DND security guards, he left the spot and returned back to the toll plaza with the police. But the culprits had managed to flee from the spot.
