The threat to London from terrorists is still being treated as real, even after six months of the July 7 carnage. A counter-terrorist poster campaign aimed at keeping Londoners alert has begun. One poster states that terrorists could use the Thames to mount an attack, move materials or conduct reconnaissance. It asks Londoners to be vigilant.

Owners of garages or lock-ups are encouraged to be on the lookout. Bank staff and shop workers are asked to report any fraudulent or suspicious transactions. Apart from the poster and such campaigns, police continues to monitor movements. In the latest raid three suspects were arrested.
Metropolitan Police said at least 10 planned terror attacks were thwarted in the last few months.
