A woman and her husband have been booked for allegedly abetting suicide of a Dalit youth by levelling false rape charges against him in a village near here, police said on Saturday.
Sonu (23) committed suicide by consuming poison after Rekha (40) and her husband accused him of raping her on August 3 in Domai village, 65 kms from Ghaziabad, police said. Following the incident, Sonu's family and villagers demanded Rekha's arrest for levelling false charges against him. A case has been registered the duo.
