A Special court on Monday recorded the statement of the prime accused in the multi-crore stamp paper scam, Abdul Karim Telgi, in a case registered in the city market police station in Bangalore.

For the vast majority of questions asked by the Special Court Judge S S Murgod, the response of Telgi, who was produced via video conferencing from the central prison in Bangalore, was "I don't know".

Further hearing was posted for June 23.

His statement is to be recorded in cases registered in Madivala and Upparpet police station limits as well.
