Berhampur: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a middle-aged man in Odisha’s Ganjam district, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place yesterday at Dhepapentha village in Nuagaon area when the girl, a student of class-III, was playing in the school premises after her classes were over, they said.
The 45-year-old man, father of three daughters, allegedly took her to an isolated place and raped her, police said.
Man rapes minor deaf, dumb niece
Hardoi (UP): A minor deaf and dumb girl was raped by her uncle today in a village here, police said. Rishi Pal raped his 13-year-old niece at Murari Kheda Majra Jeyo village, they said.
As the mother of the girl came to know of the incident, Rishi Pal took out a country made weapon and threatened to kill her before fleeing from the spot.
On the complaint of the victim’s father, a case has been registered and the girl sent for medical tests.
Principal asks girl to kiss him, held
Hyderabad: The principal of a private school at Subhash Nagar was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly misbehaving with a girl student of his school, the police
said. Sharat Chandra, allegedly behaved indecently with a tenth standard girl student and reportedly forced her to kiss him, the police said, quoting a complaint lodged by her father.
Acting on a complaint, police filed a case against the principal.
