Ramkisan Yadav (40), a native of Haryana, was posted at Yelahanka for the last two years, they said.

After returning from duty at around 4.30 am, the constable shot himself with his service rifle, sources said.

However, the deceased did not leave behind a suicide note and even the reasons for him taking the extreme step was not yet known, they added.
