The programme began with the vocal performance of Dhrupad singer Dr Rajesh Sand. He presented a composition, “Tore man Main Kitne Gun Re” set to Apal Jod and Shool Tal based on Raga Bhupali. He was accompanied by Chandan Pandey on Tabla and Raghvendra Pandey on Tanpura.
It was followed by an eye-catching Bharat Natyam dance by budding dancer Arvind Aksha. Her emotional gestures and eye expressions were quite appreciated by the audience. The other programme of cultural evening was a short play, “Mahabharat Ki Ek Sanjh”. This short play was centre of attraction for the audience in the function.
Prominent artists who played their role were Amlesh Srivastava, Udayan Chatarjee, Ast Bhuja Mishra, Shrawani Ghosh, Mukesh Kumar Dubey, Prashant Chakravarty, Alok Kumar Singh, Rahul Tiwari and Shiv Shankar. This short play was directed by Trishit Kumar Chatterjee and authored by Bharat Bhushan Agrawal.
The last presentation of cultural evening was a group dance items, performed under the direction of Kathak dancer Rashmi Srivastava.
