Dalai Lama to inaugurate Pakistan tour opener
The India-Pakistan cricket series will kick-off with a sentimental touch with Tibetan spiritual and temporal head Dalai Lama inaugurating the three-day tour opener in Dharamsala on March 3.
The first international match to be played at the newly built stadium of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association will also be graced by chief minister V B Singh, HPCA president Anurag Thakur said on Thursday.
Doordarshan will telecast the match for which elaborate security arrangements has been made including deployment of 500 police and security personnel.
Sale of tickets would begin from February 26 with special concession to school students, Thakur said.
