Day of pride
IT WAS a very special day at the La Martiniere Girls’ College (LMGC) on Friday—the Annual Prize Distribution. An LMGC alumni, retired bureaucrat and chief guest Uma Pillai said, “Girls must live their dreams, never compromise with their values and never neglect their strengths”. LMGC principal Mrs F Abraham while reading out the annual report said, “The College takes pride in ensuring an all-round development of a child’s personality. Prize Day is a prestigious event in a Martinian’s life for the honour of being lauded before a distinguished gathering”.
Individual awards went to Supriya Agarwal (Gandhi Corner Trophy for All-Round Social Work), Arpita Agarwal (Medal for Good Conduct), Aditi Chaturvedi (Medal for Example & Service) and Brahmi Srivastava & Shuchita Tripathi (The PALS Trophy for Most Promising Young Environmentalist). Best House shield went to Lyons House.
