The death toll in Himachal Pradesh bus accident has risen to 38 with the recovery of eight more bodies overnight. The mishap occurred on Wednesday, when a private bus fell into Beas river near Jhiri, about 20kms from Kullu on the National Highway.

The mishap occurred on Wednesday, when a private bus fell into Beas river near Jhiri, about 20kms from Kullu on the National Highway.

The ill-fated bus, with more than 60 passengers on board, was on its way to Ani from Kullu when it skidded and fell into the river.

Search parties were deployed to trace the missing.
