To regularise academic session, the Uttar Pradesh government has asked the state universities to declare all examination results by June 30.
"The state universities should declare all the results by the month end under all circumstances," Higher Education Minister Rakesh Dhar Tripathi has directed registrars of the universities during a review meeting.
Tripathi said vacant posts in universities should be filled at the earliest, specially in Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Agra where the number of vacancies was higher.
The minister said as per the announcement made by Chief Minister Mayawati to upgrade Panchsheel Inter College in Agra to a degree college and allocate Rs one crore, the process should be completed by June 20.
He directed that last date of submitting applications for government aid for setting up degree colleges in unserved areas should be extended to June 30.
The minister also directed divisional commissioners to clear proposals relating to new degree colleges in the state.
"Maximum number of no-objection certificate cases are pending in Lucknow, Agra and Allahabad, which should be disposed of immediately," he said.
