Delivery of text books has begun in govt schools: Bhukkal
Haryana education minister Geeta Bhukkal on Tuesday claimed that delivery of text books had begun in all government schools. Bhukkal, who was presiding over a review meeting of the education department regarding status of supply of text books for the current academic session said all text books had been printed and their supply started.

"There was a technical snag in the quality of printing resulting in delayed delivery at a few places which has been sorted out during the meeting. The publishers have assured that delivery of all text books will be done by the month end, the education minister said.
Bhukkal also directed the officers to start the tender process of printing and supplying of text books for next session so that they could reach before the commencement of new academic session.
The minister said a meeting of all district officers, including district education officer, district elementary education officers and block education officers would be conducted on July 11 to ascertain the reason of poor results, status of dual desks and text books supply in government schools.
An official spokesperson said earlier the books were used to be provided subject-wise. Now the class-wise bundles were being delivered in schools to facilitate easy and timely distribution of books.
